Local Industrial Retention Initiative


New in 2010, the Ravenswood Community Council(RCC) in conjunction with the 47th Ward Alderman, will serve as a delegate agency for the City of Chicago Department of Housing and Economic Development's Local Industrial Retention Initiative(LIRI).  The LIRI program provides business assistance to industrial communities in Ravenswood and the 47th Ward.  In particular, RCC will service the industrial businesses of the Addison Industrial Corridor as well as the commercial businesses that occupy industrial space along the Ravenswood Corridor. The aim of the RCC's LIRI program is to provide companies with referrals to appropriate agencies in an effort to secure retention. Additionaly RCC will host a variety of events that deal with the different issues confronting the companies of our industrial corridors.  Information will be made available about incentives offered through the City of Chicago that range from tax incentives to business improvement rebates.
